St. Mary’s Parish assumed projects in 2005 to repaint all exterior window frames of the church and re-roof the rectory and repair cornice work and install guttering on the rectory. Additional repairs were made to the school. Other future goals recommended by the Parish Maintenance Committee include improving the landscaping at the grotto to include a larger plaza on the east side with seating benches and new plantings around the grotto to surround it as a special place of meditation and prayer; a new landscape plan for the front of the church and parking to include relocation of power poles, installation of decorative pole lamps along new walkways, new concrete in the front of the church as well as plantings to minimize mowing and maintenance of the steep banks.

Donations are invited to offset costs of these improvements. Please consider making an offering to these projects by completing this Donation form.

In addition, St. Mary's Parish is pleased to offer professional photographs of the church. Enrolled on the Kansas Register or Historic Places in 1978 and on the National Register of Historic Places in1980, St. Mary's Church is today one of the most ornately decorated rural churches in the U.S.

Photos are available for purchase at $5 each. These are 8 x 10, two-sided prints. You may order photos here. Your photos and an invoice will be mailed to you within a few days. Proceeds from this project go towards support of other parish projects.
